I’MPOSSIBLE Anthem
Directed by Natalie Rae at Object & Animal, with TBWA\Chiat\Day
In this 2021 installment of the adidas ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ campaign they champion the stories of seven women defying the odds to become successful in their fields.
Featuring an impressive roster of women: Squid Game actress Hoyeon Jung, volleyball player Tifanny Abreu, basketballer Asma Elbadawi, model Ellie Goldstein, runner Fatima Ibrahimi, Olympic gold medalist skateboarder Momiji Nishiya and yoga teacher Jessamyn Stanley.
I served as co-producer with executive producer Shannon Worley at Nice Kitty Films LLC.
Hoyeon
Just after the release of the high popular show, “Squid Games”, we were able to work with newly branded actress and model, Hoyeon Jung. She wanted to tell the story of her transition between her model life and her new journey as an actor.
Tiffany
Tiffany Abreu is the first trans woman to play in the Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Superliga. She found her home through her journey of finding herself.
Asma
Asma Elbadawi is a Sudanese-British spoken word poet, activist, basketball player and a coach. She successfully fought to remove the ban on hijabs and religious headwear from the International Basketball Association. She wanted to not only tell her story of basketball, but also show that fashion in sports can have no limits.
Fatima
Fatima has always loved to run, but she grew up in a place where running for women is not only not accepted by society, but is also dangerous — Afghanistan.
In August 2021, she had just fled the country and found refuge in Canada. She was eager to get her message out amidst the unrest, and we gave her the platform.
Ellie
Ellie Goldstein, Vogue’s first ever cover model with down syndrome. She wanted send a message to her doubters that she could care less about them. She’s living life just fine.
Momiji
Momiji Nishiya had just won the first ever gold in women’s street competition in the 2020 Summer Olympics (held in 2021). At just 13 years old, she became the youngest Olympic gold medalist for Japan, and the third youngest gold medalist in Olympic history. In the LA hills, she stays low-key, even with the new hardware.
Jessemyn
Jessamyn Stanley has a rebellious story that comes in the form the calmest energy. Jessamyn is a yoga practitioner who started Underbelly, movement made accessible to anyone in any size. Their flow is untouchable, even on the highway in Long Beach.
